Legacy modernisation
Old software that runs on one computer, breaks after Windows updates or that nobody can change any more? We rebuild it as a modern, secure web application and bring every record across.

Legacy system modernization is about protecting software your business depends on but can no longer maintain. Many firms still run billing, inventory, payroll or production on applications written years ago in Visual Basic, FoxPro, MS Access or an old version of PHP. The original developer may have moved on, the source code may be incomplete, and each operating system update carries a risk that the program simply stops opening one morning.
Beyond the risk of failure, old systems hold the business back. They usually work only on one office computer, cannot be reached from a branch or a phone, do not connect to newer tools and receive no security fixes. Modernisation moves your business rules and data onto a platform that current developers can support, while keeping the parts of the workflow your staff rely on.
Every project starts with an audit. We study the database structure, the screens, the printed reports and whatever source code exists, and we sit with the users who know the edge cases. Hidden rules, such as a discount that applies only to certain customers or a stock adjustment that runs at month end, are written down and confirmed before any new code is written.
We then agree the right path for each part of the system. Not everything needs a full rebuild. Some parts can be moved as they are, some can be wrapped with an API, and some are better replaced by a standard product. The plan is phased so the most fragile or most used modules move first.
Your data is usually the most valuable part of an old system, and often the messiest part too. Over the years, duplicate customers, inconsistent item codes and half-filled records build up. We write migration scripts that map each old field to the new structure, clean what can be cleaned automatically and list the exceptions for your team to decide on.
Migration is rehearsed before go-live. We run trial migrations, compare totals such as outstanding balances, stock values and invoice counts, and share reconciliation reports. Where the risk justifies it, old and new systems run side by side for a period so your accounts team can confirm the figures match before the old software is switched off.
We work with manufacturers, traders, institutions and service firms that built or bought software years ago and now need it on the web, on mobile or connected to other systems. In over ten years of building custom software, ERP and web applications for clients in India and abroad, we have seen the patterns that make these projects succeed: a careful audit, honest phasing and a tested data move.
You own the new source code, the work can be covered by an NDA, and our processes are ISO 9001:2015 certified. We also provide hosting, support and documentation after go-live, so you are not left in the same position again a few years from now.
What we deliver
Modernise ageing systems, move to the cloud and redesign the workflows that slow your team down.
We study the old system, its database and business rules before writing any new code.
Move from desktop or outdated frameworks to a modern web stack you can reach from anywhere.
Scripts that clean, transform and verify every record moved to the new system.
Fast, mobile-friendly screens that keep the workflows your team already knows.
Expose the system through APIs so it can connect to apps, portals and other software.
Old and new systems run side by side until the numbers match and you sign off.
Clear technical and user documentation so future changes do not depend on one person.
Who it’s for
Every project starts from your process, not a template. These are typical situations we are asked to solve.
Discuss your requirementHow we work
We review your current systems, data and processes with the people who use them.
A prioritised plan with phases, risks, effort and the quick wins to start with.
One process or module is rebuilt first, so you see value before committing further.
Phased migration with data checks, training and the old system kept as a fallback.
Monitoring, fixes and improvements once the new setup is live.
Technology
We pick the stack for your project, your team and your budget — not the other way round.
FAQ
Straight answers to what clients usually ask first.
Often, yes. We can study the database, screens and reports to rebuild the logic, then confirm each rule with your team.
Only as much as you want. We usually keep familiar workflows and improve speed, layout and mobile access.
It depends on the size of the system and the volume and condition of the data. Projects are split into phases, and you get a timeline after the audit.
If the platform is still supported and only small changes are needed, patching can be sensible. If it cannot be updated, secured or accessed remotely, a phased rebuild is usually safer. The audit helps you decide.
Yes. We can build integrations with Tally, payment gateways, SMS and WhatsApp services and other business software as part of the project.
We keep it available in read-only mode, or as an archived backup, for as long as you need it for reference and audits.
